Agreement between almatar and the Korea Tourism Organization to open a new gateway for Saudi travelers to Asia
almatar Travel and Tourism Group, the leading company in providing travel solutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Korea Tourism Organization, with the aim of enhancing tourism cooperation and developing tourism resources between the Kingdom and South Korea.
The CEO of almatar Travel and Tourism Group, Mr. Faisal bin Yousef Al Rajhi, explained that this agreement represents an important step towards providing innovative solutions for tourist trips between the Kingdom and South Korea. He stressed that the agreement includes the development of customized travel programs, research and development in the field of the tourism industry, as well as sponsoring and training specialists in this sector.
Al Rajhi added that this partnership aims to enhance tourism exchange between the two sides, noting that “almatar” seeks to provide distinctive solutions that meet the needs of different categories of travelers. He expressed his confidence that cooperation with the Korea Tourism Organization will unleash new marketing opportunities that contribute to achieving common goals.
He pointed out that the Korea Tourism Organization provides an integrated platform through its official website “VISITKOREA”, which provides comprehensive information about tourist destinations in Korea, including accommodation options, food, shopping, and cultural events. The website provides its content in eight languages, making it a key tool for international travelers.
He added that the organization redesigned the website in 2023 to include new features, such as the ability to create customized travel plans, lists of tourist destinations, restaurants, and accommodation options. It also provides suggested itineraries for Muslim-friendly tourism, health and medical tourism, and UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Korea.
Al-Rajhi stressed the importance of this partnership in promoting Korean culture among Saudi tourists and expanding travel options, noting that the Korea Tourism Organization operates cultural centers around the world and organizes promotional events and campaigns to introduce the global audience to Korean culture and attract tourists to South Korea.
