Almatar” App Agrees with “MMS” to Sponsor the Live Broadcast of the Saudi Roshen League for the 2024-2025 Season

“MMS” MBC Media Solutions, the commercial arm of MBC Group, announced the renewal of its partnership with the Saudi almatar Travel and Tourism Group, owner of the “Almatar” app, owner of the “Almatar” app, the most downloaded local app in the travel and tourism sector in the Kingdom. The partnership includes sponsoring the live broadcast of the Saudi Roshen Professional League via SSC channels and the Shahid platform, for the 2024-2025 sports season, continuing the success achieved in the 2023-2024 season.

For his part, Mr. Ayman Saleh Basalama, CEO and partner of almatar Group, expressed his happiness with the renewal of the partnership for the second year in a row, noting that this step comes within the framework of the company’s commitment to supporting Saudi sports and enhancing the Kingdom’s position as a global sports destination.

Basalama added that the presence of international stars, such as Cristiano Ronaldo, in the Saudi League reflects the development of sports in the Kingdom and highlights its influential role in the region. He also explained that the partnership with the Roshn League is in line with the marketing objectives of the “almatar” application, as it allows the application to reach a wider audience of football fans.

Strategic plans for the future

Basalama confirmed that  almatar’s sponsorship of sporting events represents an essential part of its strategic plan to expand the scope of its business and support the achievement of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. He also pointed out that these efforts come within the framework of preparing to host major events, such as the 2034 FIFA World Cup, which the Kingdom is expected to host.

Roshn League: Continuous growth and record numbers

Commenting on the renewal of the partnership, Mr. Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, CEO of MMS, said that these strategic partnerships contribute to strengthening the position of the Saudi Roshen League as one of the most prominent football leagues in the world. Al-Sahhaf pointed out that the market value of the league exceeded one billion dollars, making it among the list of “the top 10 most valuable leagues in the world”.

Al-Sahhaf added that the Saudi League sponsorship contracts witnessed a record growth of 82.8% compared to last season, reflecting the league’s increasing attractiveness to local and international companies.

With this cooperation, the “almatar” application and MMS continue to enhance their joint efforts to support Saudi sports and contribute to consolidating the Kingdom’s position on the global sports scene.
