almatar Travel and Tourism Group, a leading provider of travel solutions in Saudi Arabia, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO). The partnership aims to enhance tourism collaboration and develop tourism resources between Saudi Arabia and South Korea.

Faisal bin Youssef AlRajhi, CEO of almatar Travel and Tourism Group, emphasized the significance of this agreement in offering innovative travel solutions for tourism between the Kingdom and South Korea. The agreement includes the development of customized travel programs, research and development in the tourism industry, and the sponsorship and training of specialists in this sector.

AlRajhi highlighted that this partnership aims to boost tourism exchange between the two nations, ensuring almatar provides unique solutions tailored to various traveler needs. He expressed confidence that this collaboration with KTO would unlock new marketing opportunities to achieve mutual goals.

The Korea Tourism Organization provides a comprehensive platform via its official website, “VISITKOREA,” offering detailed information on South Korea’s tourist destinations, including accommodation, dining, shopping, and cultural events. The website is available in eight languages, making it a valuable tool for international travelers.

The KTO revamped its website in 2023, introducing new features such as personalized travel plans, curated lists of destinations, restaurants, and accommodations. It also offers itineraries for Muslim-friendly tourism, medical and wellness tourism, and UNESCO World Heritage sites in South Korea.

AlRajhi emphasized the importance of this partnership in promoting Korean culture among Saudi tourists and expanding travel options. He noted that the KTO operates cultural centers worldwide and organizes promotional events and campaigns to introduce global audiences to Korean culture and attract tourists to South Korea.

The Korea Tourism Organization, a government agency under South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, has been responsible for developing and promoting tourism locally and internationally since its establishment in 1962. It aims to enhance South Korea’s image as a premier travel destination by offering comprehensive services and information to support travelers and showcasing Korean culture on a global stage.

This strategic partnership underscores Almatar ‘s commitment to advancing the tourism sector in Saudi Arabia and delivering unparalleled travel experiences. It reflects Saudi Vision 2030’s goals of fostering cultural and tourism openness.
